10th Annual Freedom 21 National Conference

More developments and new speakers for the 10th Annual Freedom 21 National Conference

There have been major developments in the planning for the 10th annual Freedom21 National Conference.

First, “We the People Foundation” President Bob Schulz will address the conference during the Friday night banquet. He will discuss the upcoming Continental Congress and the need for all Americans to stand up to defend our liberty. A dramatic highlight of his presentation will be the signing by all conference participants of a new document pledging our allegiance to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.

Second, additional speakers include John Stadtmiller, head of the Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN), George Sheperd and Gary Franchi, both of Republic Magazine – each will be talking about new communications opportunities and technologies being used to unite and strengthen the freedom movement.

Third, the entire Freedom 21 conference will be live-streamed on the Internet. Though it’s too early yet to announce where the stream may be accessed, those details will be coming forthwith! Suffice it to say, those who can’t make it to the conference won’t have to miss it after all. This is a very important and exciting development.

But there is nothing like actually being there. Please consider joining the leaders of the freedom movement in Oklahoma City, August 13 – 15. Hotel and registration and the full program schedule are at http://www.freedom21.org/.

Speakers to date, along with Bob Schulz, include keynote by G. Edward Griffin (author of The Creature from Jekyll Island), former Presidential Candidate Chuck Baldwin, State Senator (and governor candidate) Randy Brogdon, State Rep. Charles Key and State Rep. Sam Rohrer. There will be expert discussions on the land grab called Sustainable Development, the deceit of Global Warming, the coming international surveillance society, censorship of history in our public schools, the coming national health care and how it will rob us of personal decisions, the battle to restore state sovereignty and the 10th Amendment, and so much more. There will also be three important workshops offering hands-on instruction on how to fight back.

Freedom 21 covers more issues, in greater detail, than any other conference in America. Most who go to this conference report that it is the best they have ever attended – and we’ve been doing it for ten years. Don’t miss this chance to join us in Oklahoma City!

Say it ain't so! AP's Borenstein Reports: 'The Wind seems to be dying down...the cause may be global warming'

By Marc MoranoClimate Depot

Associated Press science reporter Seth Borenstein reported on June 10, 2009 that global warming may be causing the winds to die down in the U.S.

Borenstein's article, titled "Not so windy: Research suggests winds dying down" reports:

The wind, a favorite power source of the green energy movement, seems to be dying down across the United States. And the cause, ironically, may be global warming-the very problem wind power seeks to address. Borenstein also noted: "Several outside experts mostly agree that there are signs that wind speed is decreasing and that global warming is the likely culprit."

The article continues: "[The study] raises a new side effect of global warming that hasn't been looked into before." [Editor's Note: Yes, this does appear to be an alleged "new side effect" of man-made global warming. For a complete list of alleged impacts of warming see here: A complete list of things caused by global warming - Perhaps this is why a top Japanese scientist recently compared global warming claims to "astrology." ]

Borenstein's article continues: In global warming, the poles warm more and faster than the rest of the globe, and temperature records, especially in the Arctic, show this. That means the temperature difference between the poles and the equator shrinks and with it the difference in air pressure in the two regions. Differences in barometric pressure are a main driver in strong winds. Lower pressure difference means less wind. [End AP article excerpt.]

But Geophysicist Dr. David Deming, associate professor of arts and sciences at the University of Oklahoma who has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles, challenged the new study in an exclusive interview with Climate Depot.

"Wait a minute! Isn't a mainstay of global warming alarmism the claim that global warming will produce greater numbers of more intense storms?" Deming told Climate Depot on June 10, 2009.

"How can they have more intense storms from the same effect that is lessening winds? They appear to be claiming that global warming will simultaneously increase and decrease wind velocities," Deming said. "For thousands of years, philosophers and theologians have concluded that not even God could create a logical contradiction, such as allowing something to simultaneously exist and non-exist," he added.

Others are joining in to mock Borenstein's article. University of Colorado Professor Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. ridiculed the AP article for what he termed a "Climate Rorschach Test as News."

"Apparently an AP news article out today on how we don't know if global warming is making the winds blow with less gusto is not a parody, despite all indications to the contrary," Pielke Jr. wrote. Pielke is at the University's Center for Science and Technology Policy Research.

To his credit, Borenstein did note the many flaws and lack of data associated with the study's claims. "That information doesn't provide the definitive proof that science requires to connect reduced wind speeds to global warming, the authors said," Borenstein reported.

Borenstein also wrote: "The idea that winds may be slowing is still a speculative one, and scientists disagree whether that is happening... Still, the study, which will be published in August in the peer-reviewed Journal of Geophysical Research, is preliminary. There are enough questions that even the authors say it's too early to know if this is a real trend or not." [Editor's Note: Borenstein has slightly improved his balance in global warming reporting in recent times, despite a woeful history. See:
1) AP's Borenstein in a PANIC: 'Obama left with little time to curb global warming'...'cooling trend illustrates how fast the world is warming' - December 14, 2008
2) Scientists Denounce AP's Borenstein For Hysterical Global Warming Article - December 15, 2008
3) Kudos to AP's Seth Borenstein for writing the most balanced of all the media's articles about this new Antarctic study - January 21, 2009
4) Two dozen prominent scientists denounce AP's Borenstein's article promoting sea level fears in the year 2100 - September 24, 2007
5) AP's Borenstein excludes scientists and peer-reviewed studies countering claims of allegedly 'melting' Antarctic - March 27, 2008
6) AP's BORENSTEIN INCORRECTLY CLAIMS SCIENTISTS PRAISE GORE'S MOVIE - June 27, 2006
7) AP's Borenstein inaccurately described scientist as "one of the few remaining scientists skeptical of the global warming harm caused by industries that burn fossil fuels' - July 27, 2006 ]

Borenstein also cited dueling Real Climate global warming activists in his June 10, 2009 global warming wind article:

The new study "demonstrates, rather conclusively in my mind, that average and peak wind speeds have decreased over the U.S. in recent decades," said Michael Mann, director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University. A naysayer is Gavin Schmidt, a NASA climate scientist in New York who said the results conflict with climate models that show no effect from global warming. He also doubts that any decline in the winds that might be occurring has much of an effect on wind power. [ End article excerpt. For complete AP article go here: ]

Pielke, Jr. noted the apparent disagreement of the Real Climate activists about the wind study: "Has global warming reduced windspeeds with potential implications for wind power? Well obviously we don't know, but if you'd like to believe that it does, you can justify that belief by citing Michael Mann. And if you'd like to believe that it does not, you can justify that belief by citing Gavin Schmidt. Climate science as Rorschach test, film at 11."

Your Next Step in the Fight for Freedom!

I’d like to invite you to come to the 10th annual Freedom 21 National Conference this year! We have an incredible line up of speakers – the best ever (see below).

We have just confirmed that G. Edward Griffin will be our keynote speaker. His book, The Creature from Jekyll Island, is the landmark expose’ of the Federal Reserve. And he will be with us to share his insights on today’s market meltdown and there will be book signing -- so all Freedom 21 attendees can get an autographed copy.

This year’s conference, as always, will focus on the main policy that is behind all of the other issues you and I face - Sustainable Development. It’s an issue very few understand but effects everything we do. Of course, we will have sessions on gun control, education, the economy, the threats to property rights and the NAIS, the Trans Texas Corridor and the growing threat of an international surveillance society. And this year - something new – a session on health freedom and how the federal government is moving to take away our choices for natural care.

Freedom is under assault in ever corner of our society. Now is the time when freedom-loving Americans must stand up and join the fight. That’s why you need to be at Freedom 21 this year. Freedom 21 gives you a perspective you simply will not get anywhere else.

Your world view will never be the same after you attend Freedom 21.

Sign up before June 15th and get the early bird special. There are also special discounts for students.

To register, call me at 540-341-8915 – or go to www.freedom21.org.

I hope you will join the fight for freedom! For more details on the Freedom 21 conference see below. I look forward to seeing you in Oklahoma City this August.

Sincerely,
Tom DeWeese - Conference Coordinator
Freedom 21 National Conference

Freedom21 National Conference

Sounding the alarm for ten years
August 13-15, 2009
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Your next step in the fight for freedom!

Dear fellow freedom advocates:

For ten years the Freedom 21 National Conference has sounded the alarm, warning us of the dangers of UN global governance, radical environmentalism, the destruction of the public education system, the creation of an international surveillance system, the destruction of private property rights, the lies of global warming, the creation of a North American Union and the Trans Texas Corridor, and of course, the outrages of illegal immigration.

jeromeAll of these issues have been covered by speakers at the Freedom 21 Conference over the past ten years; Speakers that include Rep. Ron Paul ronpaul(before he ran for president), Judge Roy Moore (just after he lost his battle over the ten commandments), Pastor Chuck Baldwin (as he was running for president), The late former Congresswoman Helen Chenoweth, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Niger Innis (of CORE), Michael Badnarik (when he was running for president), Larry Pratt, and Jerome Corsi (He used Freedom 21 to officially introduce his book “Obamanation”).

These are just a few of the past headliners who have addressed Freedom 21 conferences.

Now think about it – have you ever heard the topic of Sustainable Development discussed at any other conference or rally?

Rarely is it discussed, even among the freedom movement. The tea parties and other conferences focus on issues like taxes, the Federal Reserve, gun control, abortion, the destruction of public education and the folly of global warming. But these are individual issues – important, certainly – and almost all will be addressed at Freedm21.

confBut missing from our debates is a focus on the very blue print – the matrix – that brings all of these issues together into one driving force of destruction – Sustainable Development.

You will learn all about it at Freedom 21 and you will learn how to stop it.

am-tyranny-09.JPG

That’s this year’s conference theme.

This year’s conference will kick off precisely at 1:00pm with a keynote address by G. Edward Griffin, author of “The Creature from Jekyll Island.” He’ll tell you about the who, what, how, and when of the Federal Reserve and the secrets behind the destruction of the American monetary system.

Immediately following Ed’s report, Michael Shaw of Freedom Advocates, and a renowned Sustainable Development expert, will show you how everything Ed tells you fits directly into the Sustainable Development matrix.

And that’s how the conference will go throughout the three day event – expert after expert will show you how the issues of the day connect directly to this Sustainable Development monster.

Of great urgency is the fight to stop the creation of an international ID using biometrics. PA State Representative Sam Rohrer will reveal plans for the creation of an internal surveillance society. Mark Lerner, of the Constitutional Coalition will show how the real danger is in the gathering of biometric content on all Americans. Gun Owners of America president Larry Pratt will connect the dots from the Real ID Act to its profound effect on gun ownership.

Author and former presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin will tell you who was behind the Missouri MIAC report, which called anyone who openly supports the U.S. Constitution, a potential terrorist. Pat Wood, of August Review, will reveal even more organized opposition to freedom advocates. There are grave dangers afoot for all of us.

Alan Quist of EDWATCH will tell you how our public school classrooms are being censored when it comes to teaching about our great Founders and the dynamic, free nation they created. That’s a story our children are not learning. Michael Chapman of American Heritage Research, will provide the details on how Barack Obama is working with the UN to control American Education. If you have never heard Mike Chapman speak, this is your chance to truly understand what is happening in today’s classrooms. No one tells it better.

Marc Morano, formally with the U.S. Senate Environment Committee under Senator James Inhofe, became a one-man wrecking crew against Al Gore and the global warming crowd. Because of Marc’s efforts, for the first time, global warming skeptics got a voice before a Senate committee. The results were astounding and today, finally, thousands of scientists are coming out of hiding to express their doubts and opposition to the global warming scam. Marc will join us to tell that story. And right behind Marc will be expert Michael Coffman, who has created videos for grade school classrooms to help counter the lies of Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth.” Dr. Coffman will again connect the dots from the global warming mantra to UN global governance and Sustainable Development.

We’ll learn about the current battle to stop the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC) from expert Dan Byfield, of the Texas-based American Land Foundation. Have we stopped it or not? Oklahoma State Rep. Randy Brogdon will tell of his fight to stop NASCO – the North American Super Corridor Coalition. These are the guys behind plans to build super corridors across the nation, in nearly every state. They are hidden in secrecy and they are pressing hard. Senator Brogdon uncovers them.

Oklahoma State Rep. Charles Key is one of the leading forces in the battle to bring back 10th Amendment rights and sovereignty of the states. He’ll be a Freedom 21 to tell you about that battle and how you can bring it to your state. Judith McGeary will reveal the latest in the battle to stop the government tagging of farm animals through the National Animal Identification System (NAIS). OK SAFE, Inc’s Amanda Teegarden will tell you how her organization became a major force in Oklahoma and she’ll tell you how to do it in your home state.

Dynamic new activist Catherine Bleish, from the Liberty Restoration Project, will report on a brand new grassroots movement and how it is effectively countering the growing tyranny, from tea parties and “End the Fed” rallies, to finding freedom-advocate candidates to run for local office. Catherine’s presentation is full of positive action and she will blow you right out of your seat and into action! Speaking of new, young activists, Craig Rucker of CFACT will lead a panel of college students who are taking action on campuses and at international conferences. He’ll tell you all about their sometimes hilarious antics to get media attention for the cause.

Brand new this year for Freedom 21 will be a session on health freedom and how government intends to deny your natural health care choices. Dr. Jeff Marrongelle is my personal natural healthcare provider and is a pioneer in bio-energy medicine. Anyone involved or interested in the natural medicine and supplement movement needs to attend Freedom 21 and learn how it connects to Sustainable Development. This is a major opportunity to combine two separate - but very connected movements.

In addition, there will be workshops on local organizing, health freedom and international ID issues. At the main banquet on Friday night the winners of the Freedom’s Heroes national vote will be announced and awarded. Everyone can vote at www.freedom21.org. Just Click on Freedom’s Heroes. And don’t miss the special display tables where you can get videos, books and literature to help in your fight for freedom. There are still tables available if you want to display materials at the conference. Just go to www.freedom.org to the registration area and sign up for a table.

Finally, the conference will conclude with an address by me, Tom DeWeese. One of the most important articles I have ever written deals with the issue of “globally-acceptable truth.” It is the mindset that explains why global-warming advocates ignore scientific fact. It is the basis of today’s education agenda. And it is the reason why those who disagree with today’s policies are met with such anger and even threats. We are questioning the “truth” that is allowed.

So, there you have it. This year’s Freedom 21 Conference.
